povesta is a home for stories told chapter by chapter: progression fantasy and LitRPG first, with every genre welcome. At key moments, readers vote on where the story could go. Authors say up front whether they’ll follow the result or use it as advice. The road not taken isn’t deleted: the author can write it out as a side story, so the other choice stays readable.
For readers
Binge a living serial
Read new chapters as they come out, then join the vote. Your vote counts once your reading progress is verified. In reader-steered stories, the author follows the result; in advisory stories, it helps them decide. You’ll see the rule before chapter one. When the next chapter opens down the road you chose, part of the story is yours. The main story is free, start to finish.
For writers
Write with your readers
A weekly vote turns lurkers into regulars and your comment section into a weekly event. You set the possible directions; their votes and comments show you what they care about. Keep the rights to your work and publish it elsewhere too. Paid support comes later; the alpha has no paid features.

A second pair of eyes for your draft
In his 1928 study of Russian wonder tales, Vladimir Propp described recurring events: a rule is broken, a hero is tested, a gift is earned, a mark leads to recognition. For a writer, these connections offer a useful question: what has the story led the reader to expect, and have I followed through?
Structure check reads a draft against that grammar: it writes out the story’s formal scheme, keeps a ledger of every promise the story has opened, and flags the unpaid ones with a location and a concrete fix. The studio is not switched on in the alpha yet; the example shows the report it produces. It never edits your draft or writes the story for you.
Each symbol marks a story event: γ = a rule · δ = its breaking · a = something missing · D–F = a test and a gift · J = a mark · H–I = a fight and a victory · K = a resolution. A red chip is a promise the story opened and hasn’t paid.
